Crawdad Festival

The Crawfish and Catfish Festival features the authentic tastes of Louisiana, Southern BBQ, Soul Foods, Latin foods and Asian/Cajun Fusion cuisine. Specialties offered include crawfish, catfish, alligator, frog legs, shrimp, Oysters, Gumbo, Jambalaya, Sausages, Hot dogs, Wings, Garlic noodles, Beignets and MORE! New flavors for 2019: Crawfish Tamales, Crawfish Lumpia, Crawfish Enchiladas and Paella. Enter the Jambalaya competition. Visit the Central Grocery and learn how to cook some favorites at the New Cooking School. Purchase live crawfish and learn how to boil them you can buy some fabulous seasoning, mixes and frozen crawfish tail meet to take home. Enjoy our original and traditional drinks at 3 Bars featuring: Hurricanes, Crawfish Mary, Fire on the Bayou, Mardi Gras Margaritas, awesome cold beer and assortment of Craft Beers to keep you 2-stepping.

You can enjoy live music by 18 bands playing Cajun, Zydeco, Blues, Jazz, R & B, Latin and Funk on three stages. First time on the West Coast watch the Super Second Line Competition & Showcase where 4 Brass Bands will be competing for prizes: City of Trees, Element Brass Band, M.J.’s Brass Boppers and Dirty Chops Brass Band.

Other festival activities include cooking demos, you can enter the Jambalaya Cook Off, take Zydeco dance lessons, Race crawfish, Catch and Release Catfish pool, enjoy the Kid’s zone, Vendor marketplace, Sportsman’s Paradise Outdoor Expo and a Cornhole Tournament.

Saturday night 6:00-10:00 pm Mardi Gras meets Carnival on Bourbon Street Live New Orleans Funk and Latin Sounds to dance the night away!
